The "Margaritaville" maestro and his Coral Reefer Band will perform on the beach to inspire tourism on the Gulf Coast, hoping to salvage a summer season marred by the BP oil spill.

Music starts at 5 p.m. More than 20,000 tickets were snapped up immediately through Ticketmaster, but the rest of us can watch a live TV broadcast on CMT, starting at 6 p.m. There’s also a Web stream planned that day.
